Thankful for All- Poem

Thankful for All- Poem

thanksgiving11111

Oh Lord we are thankful for all that we receive,
We give this prayer of thankfulness.
We honor you by sharing our faith and believe,
Giving a kind gift to those who have less.
Giving to others is easy to do.
Happy smiles from little ones,
Joyful hearts and laughter ringing true.
Elation from our daughters and sons.
We know all blessings are from above,
From our kind Heavenly Father.
Blessings are because of your love,
Spreading forth this love to one another.
We thank you for the food you provide.
The clothing, the shelter, our hearts desire.
Thank you Jesus, our Savior who died.
Without you our life would be dire.
To many blessings to name,
We thank you Lord for all.
As a baby you came,
to save us from sins and teach us your law.
We know Salvation is freely given.
To those who believe on the son.
Forgiving us of our sin,
We thank you for all you have done.

Standing For the Gospel of Christ

strong

There is a new progressive movement going on in some so-called churches where they accept anything.  They say come to this church and you can do as you please.  They say you can drink beer, you can commit adultery, you can find some other spiritual way to Heaven and still be forgiven, because you are part of this loving, accepting church.  They tell you lies that Christ loves you just the way you are, even in your sins.

Well the Christ Jesus that I serve tells us something quite different, he tells us that we must have a repentant heart; that we must turn from our sins and live a life pleasing to him… a holy life.  Yes, we are to love others and forgive others, but we are not to accept sin freely into our churches.  The Bible preaches against being drunk with excess.  The Bible preaches against homosexuality, adultery, lasciviousness, against lying, stealing, cheating, etc…..

I heard a sermon the other day, that talked about when Christ lived on this earth.  He was an austere man; which means: severe, stern, strict in manner.  He often got on to his own disciples for things that they did, such as when the disciples rebuked people for bringing little kids to him.  Another time when he asked the disciples to pray, instead found them all sleeping instead.   Jesus lived a perfect life without sin and expects us to strive for that too.  So no, he would not welcome sin into the church.

Today we must stand for what is right and contend for the faith of Jesus Christ; for what he stood for, what he expects of us as Christians.  We must accept falsehoods into our church, just for member’s acceptance or so we don’t offend anyone.  We should stand firm for Jesus Christ. Impressionist Artist

Who do you consider to be one of the great Impresionist?  Some say Pissarro, others might say: Monet, Guillaumin and Cezanne.  Some what exactly does Impressionism mean: It  is a 19th-century art movement characterised by relatively small, thin, yet visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on accurate depiction of light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of time (Wikipedia).  Some say it is the physics of color or perhaps tone.  Others say it was a French movement of a group of artists who shared a set of related approaches and techniques.  To me it is a masterpiece of color and depth.

I enjoy Monet’s work and I guess you can see why.  Here is two of his paintings.

America- Neighbors Helping Neighbors

america

Some tragic events conspired this week, but that doesn’t stop the brave from continuing on and fighting against tribulation and trials that they face.  Since Hurricane harvey dumped several inches of rain upon Houston, TX and surrounding cities, I have seen a land full of compassionate neighbors helping one another. These are people all over the great land of America that are coming to the aid. They are traveling great distances to help the people who have lost their homes and possessions to the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey.

See Love doesn’t see color, race, or political view. Love sees someone in need and runs to help others. People full of love stops to help someone stranded, takes food to the hungry and rescues people from the flood waters, despite the risk. They run to the aid with all they have. That is what I have seen in our American neighbors. We are still the United States of America. Lets love one another and help someone with all we have. Thanks! America! You are truly the land of the brave.

Coming Kingdom of Christ

Godly Witnesses For Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Seed of David, will restore his kingdom on this earth.  In Matthew 1 we learn about the genealogy of Jesus and how he was the descendant of King David.  In Luke 1:31-33, Mary was told that she would bring forth a son and that he would reign over the house of Jacob forever.  The text reads, “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”

In Jesus ancestry line, we know that Jesus was a descendant of Abraham, Jacob and later David. Matthew Chapter 1 says…

Poem about Christmas

One day long ago, in times past,
God sent a sign for the wisemen,
Way up high a star was cast,
To lead the way to his dear son.
Gifts were brought to celebrate,
Of Gold, frankincense and Myrrh,
Jesus, God’s son deserved a better fate,
Than to die for the sins of the world.
Mary was the chosen, from above,
To give birth to the Savior,
He was given because of God’s love,
To die for the sins of the world.
Angels rejoiced in Jesus birth,
Because he was God in the flesh.
He was born to live on the earth,
To die for the sins of the world.
Heaven mourned while he was away,
Winning the lost and saving souls,
He went to the cross that last day,
To die for the sins of the world.

Poem: Compassion

Image result for giving a shoulder to cry on
What is this thing
that opens our hearts to others
Choosing to be caring
when others walk on by.

What is this thing
that resembles something of love
showing pity and kindness it brings
when nothing else can suffice.

Giving food to a stranger,
stopping when someones hurt
Removing them from danger
Lending an ear and shoulder to cry on

Jesus helped those in need
full of compassion for others
Showing many a thoughtful deed
An example for all to see

All Lives Matter

Recently we have seen a lot of shootings that are racially induced.  One guy is harmed by police so another man goes on to kill a police officer.  Why?  Shouldn’t we love one another and quit judging someone by their sin color.  If someone was injured would you check out their skin color to see if you wanted to help them, Or would you run to their rescue without thinking about it.  Recently I had the chance to help some women who had been in a serious car accident.  I didn’t look at their skin color first, I saw that they were human beings with lives that mattered.

The media is race bating.  They are creating chaos and for what.   We are all people with importance.  It doesn’t matter who we are or where we live.  We should love each other like Jesus Christ loves us.  He gave his life on a cross for all mankind.  He didn’t choose a select group of people that he wanted to die for.  John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world!!!!!!  That he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life.

When we start loving others more than we do ourselves, then this world will become a better place to live.  What happened to the times when someone would help out their neighbor.  We shouldn’t do things for payment but because we want to. We should look for ways to help out our fellow man.  We are all in this world together.  Time we started acting like it.  Time to show others love and forgive one another.  Love can erase hate.  No one is better than another. All lives matter to me, all lives matter to God.
