People need a place to go to learn about a business or read about an author. Whether a person is starting their own athletic business or writing novels, it is essential that they build a website to showcase their business or their writing talent.    Readers love to search for books and writers online, and if they cannot find a particular book or author, they may move on to the next writer.  I know that I have favorite writers that I enjoy reading their books.  It is important that all writers need a website to showcase their work in order to promote their books and interact with their fans.  The website should be user friendly, provide information about the products, written works and perhaps a biography of the writer.  It should contain specific keywords throughout, in order to build Search Engine Optimization.  This means  that in order for a website to be found through search engines, the website engineer needs to optimize the site in order to coach search engines toward finding the material.  Most people will go online and use either Google or some other search engine by typing in keywords.  It is these keywords that the search engine are looking for when presenting material to the public.
Most writing professionals have well established their websites and practiced their writing abilities by supplying valuable content to the public.  Sometimes established writers has difficulties presenting their works to the reader.  This is where it would benefit the writer by consulting a writing coach.  Coaches can help them find website hosting platforms that would be provide easy to do websites online.  Writing coaches can then go on and help them with their writing and show them ways to market their books to the readers.  Tracy Kauffman offers her coaching skills to authors through a 3 step video teaching seminar, Writing A to Z- Full Speed Ahead.
